Ipsy Glam Bag: May

I’ve been wanting to try a beauty subscription service for a while now. (I do get the Beauty Test Tube from QVC but it only comes 4 times a year) I went and did some research and after coming across one too many unfavorable reviews on BirchBox, I decided to go with Ipsy! Ipsy was started by beauty bloggers and YouTube beauty Gurus so of course, I had to throw my support their way. They have partnerships with some great brands that include Urban Decay, NYX, Josie Maran, and The Balm, just to name a few. And as an extra bonus, your items come in a different cute little cosmetic bag and you get special discounts on full sizes of products featured that month. I just received my first bag and I am not disappointed.

Here’s what I got in my first “Glam Bag”:
Pacifica: Island Vanilla Perfume Roll-on:
This smells amazing. I used to have a Blood Orange Body Butter from the brand that I loved so I’m excited to try something else from the brand. Plus it’s not just a little, teeny sample, but an actual roll-on size product.
Anastasia: Travel Size Clear Brow Gel:
I’ve heard great things about the Anastasia line’s brow products. Brow Gel is not something I would spend a lot of money on so it’s nice to have a small ‘fancy’ one.
Mirabella: Colour Sheers Lipstick in Posy
A full size lipstick ya’ll! This has the consistancy of a lip butter and feels very good on the lips. I love the color too! It comes off pretty sheer and says it has a mango butter base to nourish your lips. Oh La La! I’ve never heard of the brand but that’s why I do this, to try new things!
Yaby: Concealer Refill in Honey:
Let me start off by saying that the actual product seems awesome. I swatched it on my hand, and the consistancy and coverage is amazing. I’m only disappointed because they sent me totally the wrong color. Like, I had to go back to my profile to make sure I didn’t screw something up….but it definitely says FAIR. Honey is the brand’s second to darkest color. NOT for a fair skinned person. Oh well, I’ll put in in my kit and I’m sure it will work great on someone with the right skintone. I’ll probably end up purchasing it in my color though, maybe even a range of colors to put in my professional kit. I liked it that much.
Zoya: Nail Polish in Gie Gie:
Again, I’ve heard great things about this brand of polish and was so excited to see another full size product in my bag! It’s a precious baby pink color with silver sparkle. Perfect for the season and I can’t wait to try it out!

All in all, I’m thrilled with my first Ipsy experience! Super cute bag, (because who can’t have enough cosmetics bags), a couple full size products and some new brands to try. Everything I was hoping for. Use the link below if you want to try out Ipsy for yourself. For only $10 a month, you can’t go wrong!!!!

  1. This was one of the monthly services reviewed in a recent “In Style” article, and I was curious if it were really worth it. For $10 only, perhaps! Great blog, Savy!
