Today is the last day for the Sephora VIB Event and I’ve got another great gift idea for ya’ll. It happens to be another lip kit. Lip collections are a pretty safe makeup gift, in my opinion. I feel like everyone loves a good lip gloss. The Sephora Give Me Some Lip Kit a fantastic score at $25 (a $90 value) that includes 6 high end lip products in a variety of finishes and pretty neutral colors. There is nothing in here that is too loud that it wouldn’t be appropriate for everyday wear. The kit includes:
– 0.10 oz Laura Mercier Lip Glacé in Bare Pink
– 0.07 oz Buxom Full-On Lip Polish in Dolly
– 0.14 oz NARS Lip Gloss in Turkish Delight
– 0.08 oz Fresh Sugar Rosé Tinted Lip Treatment
– 0.05 oz Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Rhubarb
– 0.10 oz Tarte LipSurgence Lip Luster in Glitzy

The Tarte product is actually a full size.

All of these products are high quality and the packaging itself makes the presentation fab as well. I mean, who doesn’t love rose gold?! It makes a perfect gift for a friend or a co-worker that you actually like! Get it!

Final Verdict: Give me THAT lip kit!!!

Gift Guide: UD Shattered Face Case

First off: I’m very sorry for not getting this up yesterday as promised, I’m here in Missouri visiting my Sister and we were out all day visiting and what not. My apologies

Next: I swear that this item is available at Sephora but I can’t find a link to it on their website. I did find it on Beauty.com who is having a 20% off sale until Midnight Pacific time! Get it fast!
Face Case
The Shattered Face case is a limited edition ‘box’ from Urban Decay that features 5 eyeshadows, 2 blushes, a highlight, an about 1/2 size 24/7 liner in Zero and a full size Super Saturated Lip Color in Lovechild. There is another Face Case called Anarchy that contains the same amount of products but more neutrals and a deeper, red lip color. But back to the item at hand. The eyeshadows are really beautiful, I think. From left to right, a sparkly gunmetal, purple with pinky-purple glitter, a satin taupe, a satin peach, and a matte yellow neutral (similar to Foxy). All the shadows perform at the quality you would expect from Urban Decay. The peach and bright pink blush have great pigmentation as well and the highlight, I think would make a great eyeshadow on its own. Of course, I’m always a fan of the 24/7 pencils and the Super Saturated lip colors last like a dream.

For $44, you get a decent amount of product in a cute, economically sized box. This would be an AWESOME gift for someone who travels a lot. I think you could get a multitude of natural and glam looks from the shadows and even more if you throw in the ‘highlight’ color as an eyeshadow.

Starting today and going through Monday is the Sephora VIB Friends and Family Event. First, we have the Lip Kit by Bite Beauty. Bite is lipstick brand that has quickly skyrocketed itself to one of my favorites. Their lip products are made of all food grade ingredients since ‘you eat what you put on your lips.’ Makes sense to me! I can’t imagine how many pounds of lipstick I’ve consumed! But I digress. The kit contains 4 double ended mini tubes of lipstick in brand’s signature matte grey packaging. The kit costs $38 for the 8 minis when a regular full size tube will run you $28. I mean, when was the last time you completely went through an entire lipstick anyway?!

The Colors (From Left to Right):
Pepper – Dusty rose
Apricot – Warm red
Retsina – Natural pink
Mulberry – Wine
Pomegranate – Cherry red
Musk – Pink brown
Rose – Peachy pink
Palomino – Vibrant magenta

All of these colors are in their permanent line, so if you fall in love with a particular color, you can buy the full size. I have a full size Retsina and the wear and feel of this on your lips is fantastic: smooth and longwearing. They are packed full of good for you ingredients that you can feel good about putting on your mouth. I have a big problem with things drying out my lips but these lipsticks don’t tend to cause me any drying or flaking. I think $38 is a great price for you or a friend to try out 8 high quality lipsticks or explore a new brand!
